Flooring Installation in Celina & North DFW

Wide-plank hardwood meeting a travertine tile border, flush transition.

Answer first

Flooring installation in North DFW typically runs $3 to $18 per square foot installed depending on the material — vinyl plank at the lower end, hardwood at the higher — with a whole-home refloor commonly landing between $8,000 and $25,000. A single room or a small repair starts far below that. The name on the box matters less than what's under it: on the slab foundations common across North Texas, the prep and moisture control are what decide whether a floor stays flat and quiet or starts cupping and creaking in a year.

01

How much does flooring installation cost?

It depends on the material and the size of the job. Rough installed ranges in DFW:

  • Vinyl plank (LVP): about $3 to $8 per square foot installed.
  • Hardwood: about $8 to $18 per square foot installed, more for wide plank or exotic species.
  • Tile floors: about $8 to $18 per square foot installed depending on tile and pattern.

A single room or a repair starts low; a whole-home 2,000+ sq ft job scales up. On a slab, budget for moisture testing and any leveling before the floor goes down. Every project is quoted after we see it, and the estimate is free.

02

What flooring do you install?

We install the floors that fit North Texas homes:

  • Vinyl plank (LVP) — waterproof, durable, budget-friendly
  • Hardwood — solid and engineered, in oak and other species
  • Tile — porcelain, stone, and large-format floors

We also handle transitions between materials, thresholds, and baseboard reset so the finished floor looks like it belongs, not like three floors that met at a doorway. We'll tell you straight which material actually fits your house and how you live in it — not whichever one carries the fatter markup.

03

Why does subfloor prep matter so much?

This is the part that decides whether a floor lasts. Most North Texas homes are built on a concrete slab, and slabs aren't perfectly flat or perfectly dry. Skip the moisture test and you can trap water under vinyl or warp hardwood from below. Skip the leveling and large planks rock, click, and gap. We test, prep, and level the substrate before anything goes down. A floor doesn't fail at the surface you picked — it fails at the slab you didn't check.

04

How long does flooring installation take?

A single room usually takes one to two days; a whole-home install runs several days to a couple of weeks depending on square footage, material, and how much prep the slab needs. Hardwood and any leveling pour need cure time we won't rush. We'll give you a realistic timeline at the estimate.
